CALL OUR HELPLINE FOR SUPPORT: 0116 254 0101
The Jenkins Centre team can support you to step away from abuse. If you know you need help, take the next step and contact us about The Second Step programme. No matter your age, gender, sexuality or relationship status we have support options for you.
At the Jenkins Centre We Are ...
The Jenkins Centre offers an integrated domestic abuse service. We offer interventions to support people who have used abuse in their relationships to change their behaviour, whilst also offering support to their (ex) partners.
We are committed to continuing to make our services more accessible by being able to offer interventions in different languages and trying to connect with more communities. Therefore, we are offering an exciting opportunity:
To individuals fluent in languages or with language skills, we are offering to provide and pay for training in how to work with people that have used abuse in relationships and how to deliver interventions. This would then allow these individuals to take the role of sessional workers, who would be paid to facilitate interventions on an ad hoc basis, when required. This would generally be evening work. It is a great way to support people who may have previously not been able to access support and it works well as a second job, due to its ad hoc nature.
CONFIDENTIAL
Free from Violence and Abuse, Jenkins Centre, is a confidential help and support service that will always put your privacy and safety first. There may however be times when it may be necessary to breach the basic rules of confidentiality for safeguarding purposes.
UNDERSTANDING
We understand it can be difficult to talk about your behaviour, we are here to support you to make changes without judgement
WITH YOU
It can be hard to solve an issue when you’re isolated and alone. We are here to walk alongside you on your path towards change.
LISTENING
We are here to listen and support your steps towards having healthy and respectful relationships.
We work as part of a Coordinated Community Response (CCR) model that brings services together to ensure we keep survivors safe, hold those that use harmful behaviours to account, and prevent domestic abuse.
