Freeva provides services to people who have been/are affected by domestic and sexual violence.

The Jenkins Centre is a project within Freeva that provides services that are designed to help people stop using abusive behaviour towards an intimate partner and others. We are an integrated service, which provides programmes as well as support to (ex) partners that have experienced abuse.

We are excited to be recruiting an Intervention Programme Worker to facilitate group and one to one interventions for people in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. They will aid individuals in building insight and awareness about their use of abusive behaviour and support them in developing new skills to manage emotions, communicate effectively and to resolve situations in a respectful way.

We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Jenkins Centre team. The successful candidate must be educated to degree level and/or have relevant work experience. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with people that have used abuse in relationships or providing services to support change. Some evening work is required in this role.

The Jenkins Centre is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and welcomes applications from all sections of the community. Sessional Group Intervention Workers

Hours: Sessional as and when required on a Tuesday and Thursday Evening 5-9pm

For this post you will be required to co-facilitate group work on a Domestic Violence Perpetrator Programme.

Essential Requirements: Experience of delivering group work, in-depth understanding of Domestic Violence and a commitment to anti-discriminatory practice.

Young Persons Interventions Worker

The YP Project is a project within Freeva that provides interventions that are designed to help young people stop using abusive behaviour towards their parent/carers and or intimate partners.

We are excited to be a new Young Person’s Interventions Worker to join our team, and work with us to expand our Young Person’s Intervention Project across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland working with young people and their families to change their behaviours.

  • Young Persons Interventions Worker
  • 22 hours
  • £24,646 + 3% pension (FTE)

We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to join The YP Project team.  The successful candidates for the interventions Worker roles must be educated to degree level and/or have relevant work experience.  The ideal candidates will have experience of delivering the Respect Young Person’s programme and have experience of working with young people and their families. Evening work and occasional weekend work will be required.
